10 BOYS & 1 GIRL CHARGED BRINGING KNIVES FOR “SETTLEMENT” AT BOON LAY

11 Singaporeans were charged in court on Wednesday, May 27, after arming themselves with knives and attended a settlement talk at Boon Lay Shopping Centre.

The girl was 17, while the boys age ranged from 16 to 19. All of them faced charges for unlawful assembly with a deadly weapon and an offence against the Covid 19 Act.

Phoebe Chu, went to Block 221 Boon Lay Place at around 11:10pm on Monday, May 25. There she met six other male youths there which consist of: Leong Wei Zhi, 16, Tan Wei Hao, See Huan Foo and Jerome Tan, aged 17, along with Glenn Wong Jun Yi and Jovan Pang Zhiquan, both 18.

These seven youths were allegedly armed with knives with the intention of causing hurt to another group.

The other group comprised Cyrus Lim, 17, Keith Ser Sheng Kai and Lum Qi Xuan, both 18, Seth Lim, 19, and a 12th alleged offender not charged in the district court on Wednesday.

Many of them were remanded for investigations and every individual will return to court next month.
