The Ministry of Health (MOH) reported that they are investigating cases of Covid-19 infection involving people who are either working in the premises or have visited Marina Bay Sands Casino.
The latest report reveals that there are 11 cases linked to this cluster, and epidemiological investigations have found that there is likely ongoing transmission at the Casino.
MOH said that the Marina Bay Sands Casino will be closed in order to break the chain of transmission and enable deep cleaning of the premises. The casino will remain close from today (July 22) till August 5.
All staff who are working in the Casino will be tested.
Free Covid-19 testing will be available to members of the public who had visited Marina Bay Sands Casino between July 7 and July 21.
