A 12-year-old boy had allegedly stole a private bus that belonged to A&S Transit and went on a 5-hour joyride, driving 100km across Singapore through Tampines, Bedok, Pasir Ris and Punggol, using up a quarter of the petrol in the process.
He had allegedly crashed the bus and abandoned it at a bus bay, before disembarking and fleeing while being chased by the police, who eventually caught him.
The boy had apparently been trying his luck starting the buses, and earlier in the night, had tried to trespass into another bus that belong to A&S Transit.
The Singapore Police Force confirmed that they were alerted to a theft of motor vehicle on 12 April at about 12.04 pm, along Tampines Avenue 10.
They added that the boy is assisting the police with their investigations, which is ongoing.

- How old the boy. Definitely need to know the basic of driving. The road lane and signals. Must be illegally driving before. Manual or auto
- glad nothing happen n everyone is safe. He might have played GTA 5 n upgraded himself.
- People are joking about this unfortunate ride but it could have turned into a very bad nightmare, including people being injured or worse. How could he cover 100km in our small island without being stopped earlier??? something wrong somewhere and we should be concerned about it…
- Why is he still smiling after causing so much trouble? And what are the parents doing
