
12 people consisting of 8 men and 4 women are investigated for breaking covid-19 rules.
Party in hotel
The incident happened on 4th July 2021, the police was tipped off that a group of individuals had broken the law and gathered in a group of 12 at a hotel located along Scotts Road.
When the officers arrived at least 12 individuals age between 16 and 28 were found inside the room and drinking alcohol.
They are currently investigated by the Police for alleged non-compliance with safe distancing measures.
One Punch Man
Among them a 24-years-old punch a Police officer in the face to escape, while another 23-year-old starting hurling vulgarities at the Police officers.
Both young punks were arrested by the Police, one for causing hurt and deter public servant from duty, the other for using abusive language against a public servant.
The Police said that the investigations are ongoing.
Anyone convicted of the offence of voluntarily causing hurt to deter a public servant from his duty punishable under Section 332 of the Penal Code will be liable to an imprisonment term of up to 7 years and a fine or to caning
If the YP is found guilty of using abusive words against a public servant, he can be fined up to S$5,000 and/or jailed 12 months.
