A young 13 year-old schoolboy lost his life today after being struck by a goal post during Physical Education (P.E.) class.

The incident took place at 9AM at Geylang Methodist Secondary School, located at Geylang East Central.
Witnesses say that the boy had been playing football with his classmates during the lesson when he grabbed onto the goal post. The post loosened and fell on him, hitting him on the head.
He was sent to KK Women’s and Children’s Hospital, where died from his injuries.
