13TH CASE OF MONKEYPOX CONFIRMED IN S’PORE, ALSO WITH NO RECENT TRAVEL HISTORY

The Ministry of Health confirmed Singapore’s 13th case of monkeypox infection, but stopped short of providing details of the patient.

The 33-year-old man had tested positive for the virus on 2 August and is not linked to the previous infection cases.

The man is Singapore’s 13th case of monkeypox infection, and the 8th local case – he also has no recent travel history.

A total of 83 countries have been affected by the monkeypox outbreak, with a total of 25,391 cases so far, at the time of writing.

Coming in first with the most cases is the United States with 6,325 cases; followed by Spsain with 4,577 cases of monkeypox infections.
