14 Y.O THAI TEEN GETS FACE TATTOO, NOW 16 Y.O REGRETS AS HE CAN’T GET A JOB

Thai Teenager’s Viral Regret: Face Tattoos That Ruined His Life

A 16-year-old Thai teenager, Phu, has taken the internet by storm with his heartfelt TikTok video, expressing his deep regret over getting tattoos on his face that resemble a Thai giant guardian. The tattoos, which he got at the age of 14, have made it impossible for him to find a job, get a girlfriend, or make new friends.

Phu revealed that he was pressured by his friends to get the tattoos, which cost him around 500 baht (S$18). However, after getting inked, he faced severe social stigma, with people giving him “bad looks” and assuming he was a bad person. He applied for jobs at 15 but was rejected everywhere, and even female friends would shun him due to the tattoos.

The teenager’s life took a turn for the better when he started creating TikTok videos, which brought him encouragement and support from online users. Moreover, a clinic in Bangkok, who had seen his viral videos, offered to remove his tattoos for free.

Phu is grateful for the clinic’s offer but is concerned about the expenses he will incur to commute to Bangkok for the procedure, which is expected to take eight months and require eight trips from his village in Buriram. Each procedure will take around two to three days, and he will also need to pay for accommodation.

Despite the challenges ahead, Phu is determined to pursue a non-formal education and find a job after having his face tattoos removed. He has also warned other young teenagers not to make the same mistake, emphasizing the importance of thinking carefully before getting tattoos on their faces.

Phu’s story serves as a cautionary tale about the potential consequences of impulsive decisions, especially when it comes to body modifications that can have a lasting impact on one’s life.
