
According to a media release, 15 people were investigated by the authorities for bleaching the safe-distancing measures. Among the 15, one 29-year-old man was reportedly arrested by the police.
The police were alerted on 20 Dec 2020 to a case where people were gathering a shophouse located along North Bridge. It was said that the group of people have gathered there for a drinking session.
Upon the police arrival, a 29-year-old man has attempted to exit the shophouse from the rooftop. He was subsequently arrested by the police for committing a rash act.
Police investigations are ongoing.
According to the law, anyone found convicted of bleaching the safe-distancing measures could be jailed up to 6 months and fined up to $10,000. For anyone convicted of committing a rash act could be jailed up to 6 months and fine up to $2,500.
