A 17-year-old male had allegedly tried to molest a 15-year-old girl while she was waiting for the lift at an Yishun HDB block according to Shin Min Daily News.
The incident happened at Block 263 Yishun Street 22 at around 11am, on 19 March.
Speaking to Shin Min, the girl’s father, said that his daughter was on her way home at the time.
She then encountered the 17-year-old youth, who grabbed her collar from behind, before immediately turning around and forcefully resisting and screaming.
The victim’s struggle was heard and got the attention of others in the vicinity, and the guy then ran away.
The father added that he taught his daughters (he has another 19-year-old daughter) martial arts, and that he won’t let guys get away with whatever they want.
