A 17-year-old shared her story online that she got fired cause she was told to man her counter and she was not allowed to go to the toilet until the shift finished.
Here is what she said:
I’m 17 and I just got fired from my job because I couldn’t hold in my pang sai for 2 more hours, they told me I couldn’t go and I couldn’t hold it so I was gone
Not even 10 minutes and my manager said I had an attitude by saying “I wasn’t in there for 15 minutes and I told my coworker I was going” I don’t want my job back, just want to inconvenience the establishment so how can I do that as much as possible.
Netizens asked her which company was it:
- Which lan jiao shop is this?
She replied: I don’t want to get into trouble for revealing the shop’s name cause the law protects the rich if she sues me I’m dead.
- Your manager wanted you to pang sai in your pants ah? You should notify your manager’s manager.
- Remember this, generally everyone always has a boss or a manager, so, if your manager fired you for needing to go to the toilet, talk to their manager to ask against what corporate policy that is exactly? There should be a HR policy that prevents you to go to the bathroom.
- Also the length of your bathroom break should not be their issue here, only that it was a genuine bathroom break and you weren’t pretending just to get out of work. The last thing we need is for companies to start setting policies for how long is the maximum time it should take to take a dump. try not to dwell on any argument about length of break and steer it back to the question of whether it was genuine which it was.
