A 17-year-old Singaporean pleaded guilty to 2 counts of sexual exploitation, 1 count of sexually penetrating a minor and 1 count of theft.
He had reportedly tried to get 2 underaged girls (one 13-year-old and one 15-year-old) to perform sexual acts on him.
What happened?
The youth got to know the 15-year-old victim through Instagram and they started chatting.
She later agreed to be his girlfriend and on 19 April 2020, he Whatsapped the girl and asked her for nudes, to which she refused.
He then got to know the 13-year-old victim through Instagram and asked for her nude pictures as well.
But the girl’s mother found out about his request and confiscated her phone and reported him to the police.
The girl then created a second instagram account to talk to the accused because she was “in love with him and wanted to continue the relationship”.
They then met for the first time on 1 September and he asked her to touched his genitals, she then hit his hand and left.
However, they then met again about 2 weeks later and her asked her to perform oral sex on him.
She initially said no but relented when he told her that he would leave.
The girl then told her mother about what happened and they notified the police.
Separately, the youth also stole a bicycle worth about $300 on 2 April 2018.
He is due to be sentenced on 16 August next month.
