
Singapore has reported a total of 177 new cases of locally transmitted Covid-19 today, including 90 that are currently unlinked.
This is the highest number of cases reported since July 21, when 179 cases were reported then.
54 locally transmitted cases are linked to past cases, and have already been placed in quarantine.
33 locally transmitted cases are also linked to past cases but detected through surveillance.
One senior aged 70 who is unvaccinated was reported to have contracted the virus, and risk the danger of serious illnesses.
Three imported cases are also reported today and all of them developed the illness while in isolation.
In total, the case count in Singapore for Wednesday (Sep 1) is 180.
There are currently a total of 67,800 cases in Singapore as of today.
