18 & 23 Y.O MEN ARRESTED FOR STEALING ATM CARD & WITHDRAWING $600 FROM IT

According to the Singapore Police Force’s media release, two men were arrested for stealing an ATM card from a dormitory at Kaki Bukit Avenue 3.

The men, ages 18 and 23 then made a withdrawal of $600 in cash with the card and they were then arrested at the scene after officers from the Bedok Police Division established their identities

The Police have arrested two men, aged 18 and 23, for their suspected involvement in a case of theft of an Automated Teller Machine (ATM) card.

On 8 March 2023, the Police were alerted to a case of theft of an ATM card at a dormitory located at Kaki Bukit Avenue 3. Officers from Bedok Police Division established the identities of the men and arrested them at the scene. Preliminary investigations revealed that the ATM card was used to make an unauthorised withdrawal of cash amounting to $600.

The 18-year-old man will be charged in court on 10 March 2023 with theft under Section 379 of the Penal Code 1871. The offence carries an imprisonment term of up to 3 years, a fine, or both. Investigations against the 23-year-old man are still ongoing.
