The Football Association Singapore (FAS) confirmed the news through a tweet, revealing that Tan has signed a one-year contract with BVB, set to commence in July 2023. As per FAS, Tan will join the team for pre-season training before the start of the new season in August 2023.

Tan had already made history earlier this year when she became the first Singaporean woman to play in a European league. On Feb. 5, 2023, she made her debut for the London Bees, coming on as a substitute at half-time. In a May 2023 interview with Mothership, Tan mentioned that she scored two goals in five games during her time with the London Bees.
