18 YEAR OLD BURGLAR CHARGED IN COURT AFTER BREAKING INTO UNIT AT PUNGGOL

An 18-year-old was arrested after he was found involved with burglary and was charged today.

The Police were alerted of the incident on Monday (2 March 2020), that a unit located at Punggol Blk 173A was broke in and jewellery worth S$3,600 was stolen from the unit.

Police Officers from Ang Mo Kio Division were able to identify the suspect of the burglar leading to the arrest of the 18-year-old yesterday.

Police also seized multiple jewellery that was in the possession of the 18-year-old. The 18-year-old will be charged in court today and, once convicted, can be sentenced to up to 10 years in prison and fined.
