A young man was arrested by the Police for allegedly slashing another man at Bukit Batok. The incident happened earlier today (Aug 5) at 12.01 AM at Bukit Batok Street 21 block 201A.
What happened?
It is believed that the 19-year-old suspect was intoxicated after drinking alcohol and had a conflict with another man. Another girl believed to be their acquaintance was on the scene as well.
The drunk man started choking the victim and starting punching the victim’s head. The violence did not stop after punching and the man pulled out a kitchen knife to chop the victim.
The suspect fled the scene shortly after slashing the victim. The victim was struck by the weapon at least three times at his head waist and chest. A woman who was on the scene started shouting when the fight started.
The Police arrested the 19-year-old at his home.
Investigations are ongoing.
