Two cafeteria vendors in Jurong Pioneer Junior College were diagnosed with coronavirus, forcing the school to shut down two days in advance and will start a home study plan from tomorrow.
The Jurong Pioneer Primary School sent a message to parents yesterday (5th) that the two food vendors who had been diagnosed with the disease were working at the same stall in the cafeteria.
When they arrived at the school last Thursday (2nd), they were in good health. Two staff members and other cafeteria vendors who had contact with the two were on vacation.
The school also said that according to the instructions of from the Ministry of Health, the staff and students who had patronized the affected stalls were not at high risk of contracting the disease.
The school building is closed today for cleaning and disinfection.
