
According to a media release, 2 men and 1 woman were charged in court today (05 Aug 2020) for their involvement in loanshark harassment activities.
According to a police statement released, the police were alerted on the 20 Jul 2020 regarding loanshark harassment activities that had happened at a HDB unit located at Woodlands Street 32.
On 02 Aug 2020, another police report was filed in regards to loanshark harassment in the same area.
After investigations, the police managed to identify the identity of the 3 suspects and arrested them on 03 Aug 2020.
According to the Moneylender Act 2010, anyone convicted of loanshark harassment could be jailed up to five years, fined up to $50,000 and caned.
