2 WOMEN GET CAUGHT SELLING FAKE BRANDED ONLINE

According to a media release, 2 women were arrested for their suspected involvement in selling fake branded products online.

The 2 women aged 33 and 38 were arrested in a police raid conducted at Ang Mo Kio Street 64 on the 15 Jul 2020.

During the police operation, more than 3,000 fake products were seized. These items total up to more than $72,000 in street value. Initial investigations revealed that one of the women had allegedly got the items from aboard.

Investigations are ongoing.

According to the law, anyone convicted for selling or distributing counterfeit products could face a jail term up to 5 years, fined up to $100,000 or both.
