2 YOUNG MOTHERS TOOK DRUGS IN FRONT OF THEIR CHILDREN, ARRESTED IN CNB RAID

According to a media release, 87 people including a 16-year-old boy were arrested by the Central Narcotics Bureau (CNB) officers for the suspected involvement in drug-related activities.

In the 5 days operation, two young mothers were arrested in an apartment located at Bukit Merah. It was reported that both were found taking drugs in front of their children at the time when the officers raided the apartment.

The children have been placed in the custody of their next of kin.

In a separated raid a 16-year-old boy was also arrested. He was the youngest person to be arrested in the CNB operation.

Another 25-year-old man was arrested in a HDB unit in Punggol. A total of 631g of Ice, 113g of cannabis, 16 Ecstasy tablets, and $25,393 in cash were seized by the CNB officers.

Investigations against all suspects are ongoing.

In total, the total amount of drugs seized in the 5 days operations adds up to near to $400,000.
