A man who raped his 11-year-old sister as well as another 13-year-old girl, was sentenced to 12 months of reformative training.
The now-20-year-old had assaulted his sister in the past, and raped his sister while she was sleeping before he got caught and released on bail, according to The Straits Times.
The then-secondary school student then raped another 13-year-old girl while he was out on bail.
He admitted to two counts of rape, as well as pleading guilty to a charge of assaulting his sister with penetration in June 2017 when the victim was only 8 or 9 years old, as well as another charge of voluntarily causing hurt to the victim in 2018.
He cannot be named or identified because of a court order protecting the identities of the victims.
Background
The accused lived in the same home as his sister, who was in primary school at the time, when he raped her on 29 January 2020.
The victim had initially opened her eyes to see what her brother was doing, but then closed her eyes and pretended to be sleeping because she was afraid he would hurt her if she reacted to his actions.
He was then released on bail on 1 February 2020, and he then reoffended in August that year, inviting a 13-year-old girl to meet him at his HDB block.
He met the victim at a staircase and he suddenly kissed the girl on the lips as they were talking, and the victim then tried to push him away but to no avail.
She then felt the accused inserting his tongue into her mouth, before he made her perform an explicit act on him before raping her.
The victim managed to kick him and fled the scene, before the accused texted her later that same day and told her not to tell anyone else what happened.
