21 Y.O ARRESTED AFTER ATTACKING 20 Y.O WITH SCISSORS @ SERANGGON

On August 3, the police apprehended a 21-year-old man after he reportedly assaulted another man with scissors.

According to CNA, the Singapore Police Force (SPF) responded to the alleged assault case at Serangoon Avenue 4 at around 8.29 p.m. on Aug. 2.

20-year-old man injured

The 20-year-old victim with multiple injuries was taken to the hospital conscious.

The accused attacker fled the area in a car with a 21-year-old woman before police arrived. However, a Police camera has already captured the face of the attacker.

Ang Mo Kio Police Division found the vehicle abandoned at a carpark located at Northshore Drive (Punggol).

The Police also send out K-9 unit to search for the couple.

Hiding on a Lorry

The Police officers managed to find the couple hiding at the back of a parked lorry along Punggol 17th Avenue.

The woman who was found with the alleged attacker was also suffering from multiple injuries, she was later taken to the hospital for treatments.

The Police managed to make the arrest within 5 hours of the incident.

Police investigations are ongoing.

Penalties

According to Chapter 326 of the Penal Code, anyone who performs an act with a weapon that causes hurt to a person is guilty of Voluntarily Causing Grievous Hurt by Dangerous Weapons.

 Upon conviction, offenders could face a life imprisonment, or imprisonment for a term which may extend to 15 years, and caning, or fine.
