210 DUTY UNPAID CIGARETTES DETECTED BY ICA OFFICERS AT JURONG FISHERY PORT ROAD!

ICA officers detected a total of 210 cartons of duty-unpaid cigarettes in a Singapore-registered van at Jurong Fishery Port on 1 Dec. The duty-unpaid cigarettes were found in styrofoam boxes.

A 65-year-old male Singaporean, the duty-unpaid cigarettes and vehicle were handed over to Singapore Customs for further investigations. This method of concealment is a cause for concern as it may be used by people with ill intent to smuggle security items into Singapore.
