Last week a 24 year old has been arrested for unlawful possession of arms at Hougang area.

The police mentioned that there was a dispute between two man and one of them tried to intimidate the other using the air gun. The incident happened at Hougang ave 3. Upon seeing the pistol the victim decided to report it to the police. The police arrived within a hour and found the man at Hougang ave 8. He was arrested thereafter.
The suspect is facing multiple charges such as possession of arms and criminal intimidation. He might be facing  life imprisonment and be punished with a minimum of six strokes of cane.
Take note according the law the highest sentence for possession of arms can go up to the death penalty.
