25 Y.O WOMAN ARRESTED FOR E-COMMERCE SCAMS INVOLVING NINTENDO SWITCH

A 25-year-old woman was arrested for her suspected involvement in cheating in relations to e-commerce scams.

According to the police, multiple reports were lodged by victims claiming that they have been cheated by an online seller on Carousell and Facebook. According to the victims, they have engaged the seller to purchase Nintendo Switch. However, the products were never delivered and the seller became uncontactable after the payments were made.

After investigations, the police identified the identity of the woman with the help of Carousell and arrested her today (18 Sep). Initial investigations revealed that the woman was involved in at least 10 similar scams amounting up to $4,000.

Investigations are ongoing.

If convicted of cheating, the woman could face a jail term for up to 10 years and fine.
