26 Y.O WOMAN ARRESTED FOR E-COMMERCE SCAM INVOLVING $5,330

According to a media release, a 26-year-old woman was arrested for her suspected involvement in 13 cases of e-commerce scams.

Apparently, she has been conducting the scams through the social media platform Instagram. The police were alerted on the 27 Aug 2020, after victims did not receive their item and the seller went uncontactable after the payment was made.

After investigations, the police identified the woman and arrested her on the 08 Sep 2020. The police investigations further revealed that the woman was involved in a total of 13 similar scams amounting to $5,330.

Investigations are ongoing.

According to the law, anyone convicted of cheating could be jailed for up to 10 years and fine.
