26 Y.O WOMAN ARRESTED FOR LOANSHARK HARASSMENT ACTIVITIES

A 26-year-old woman was arrested for her suspected involvement in loanshark harassment activities.

The police were alerted on the 24 Oct 2020 to a case of loanshark harassment that happened along Pasir Ris Street 11. The flat was sprayed with paint and a debtor note was left behind. After investigation through the ground enquiries and the aid of the police CCTV, the police identified the identity of the woman and arrested her 5 days later.

Police investigations are ongoing.

According to the law, anyone convicted of loanshark harassment could face a jail tern up to five years, fined up to $50,000 with 6 strokes of the cane.
