27 Y.O ARRESTED AT WOODLANDS FOR SELLING FAKE ROLEX

According to the Police media release, a 27-year-old man was arrested for allegedlly selling branded counterfeit watches.

Officers from the Woodlands Police Division and the Criminal Investigation Department launched an operation on Woodlands Street 13 on August 6, 2021, and detained the guy.

A total of 51 trademark-infringing items, such as watches and watch accessories, were confiscated, with a total estimated worth of about $11,000. According to preliminary investigations, the guy reportedly purchased the products from overseas sources using e-commerce platforms before reselling them locally via online e-commerce and social media platforms.

From the images from Singapore Police Force most of the watches appears to be either Rolex or Panarei.

Under the Trade Marks Act, the offence of selling or distributing goods with falsely applied trademarks carries a fine of up to $100,000, an imprisonment term which may extend to five years, or both.
