27 Y.O MAN ARRESTED FOR CREDIT CARD FRAUD

According to a media release, a 27-year-old man was arrested for his suspected involvement in credit card fraud.

The police were alerted yesterday (03 Aug) at around 7.50 PM. The victim filed a police report after noticing several unauthorised transactions being made using her credit card.

After investigation, the police found that the man has stolen the credit card information from the victim and use it to top up the value for his mobile wallet. The total amount involved in the fraud was more than $10,000.

The police arrested the man on the same day and the mobile of the suspect was seized during his arrest.

The man will be charged in court today (04 Aug 2020), if convicted he will face a jail term up to 2 years, fined or both.
