28 Y.O CHARGE FOR HAVING 2 KNIVES AND FIGHT DURING CB

A 28-year-old is charged in court for multiple crimes such as not wearing a mask and possession of weapons during Circuit breaker measures. He also faces charges for punching and wounding people.

He was spotted attending the court session with an arm splint made with a bandage.

According to Zaobao, Hubert Ee Meng Chye faces three charges including possession of dangerous weapons, voluntarily causing hurt, and violation of the CB measures.

Hubert did not wear a mask when the incident happened, the incident happened on April 21 at around 10 PM at Kreta Ayer Road Blk 333. He was armed with two 12cm long knives.

He then injured a man by punching the victim in the face.

He is currently out on bail for S$5,000.

He will be back in court on July 7 to continue his case.

If he is found convicted for criminal possession of a dangerous weapon, he can be sentenced to no more than 3 years in prison, and no less than 6 whippings.

If he is convicted of voluntarily causing hurt to others, the maximum penalty the defendant will face is two years in prison or a fine of S$5,000. Or both.
