According to a media release by the ICA, a 28-year-old Malaysian was caught travelling in a car to Singapore attempting to smuggle assorted cigarettes. The total amount is 615 cartons and 3,070 packets.

On 3rd of Feb 2020, Officers on duty directed the Malaysian car for further checks and found duty-unpaid cigarettes concealed in various modified compartments of the car.
The 28-year-old Malaysian has been directed to Singapore Customs for further investigations.
