I’m about to be a 28 year old female virgin and I feel like a loser
I’m a 27 year old old female virgin. I’m turning 28 on July 15 and I feel like a failure romantically and in bed. I have never had a boyfriend before and I have never slept with anyone before.
There are several reasons for this. Mainly it was because I didn’t have the confidence to put myself out there for a long time.
I tended to focus on other things such as school and my career and didn’t date during college and grad school. I know that’s not a great excuse but I mainly wasn’t ready to date. Therefore, I feel so behind in life and I feel like a loser.
I recently started dating and going to more social events. I’ve been on a few dates with a few guys. I did date one guy for about a month and a half but he just told me that he wants to be friends and not pursue a romantic relationship.
I was pretty disappointed because I was hoping to lose my virginity to him. I want to F someone but I want to be with someone who cares about me and who I care about too. I DO NOT WANT TO ENGAGE IN CASUAL ENCOUNTERS SO PLEASE DO NOT TELL ME TO DO THAT!
Anyway, I appreciate any advice you can give me.

I think the advice you were given in the dating sub is probably a better location since you really want to date someone somewhat seriously and sleep with that person. That’s a reasonable goal.
there are lots of people out there who will not be a good match for each other. The best thing you can do it just enjoy your hobbies, join groups that do similar things, and you’ll likely meet people with similar interests. - If you managed to find a guy you liked and date for a month and a half it means you’re going in the right direction. But it can take time to find the right person and it’s important to not feel too bad if it doesn’t work.
