
On Saturday, police launched operations against two illegal public entertainment businesses, one along Selegie Road and the other in Tagore Lane.
In the Police media release, the Police said that:” “In both units, public entertainment and liquor were believed to have been provided without a valid licence,”
14 males and nine women aged 20 to 31 were allegedly seen socializing in a shophouse along Selegie Road during the operation. Two 24-year-old males, thought to be the unit’s operators, were detained on suspicion of providing alcohol without a license.

Two males and 11 women aged 23 to 38 were apprehended during a raid on a business unit along Tagore Lane by the police. A 37-year-old man was detained as the unit’s supposed operator.
According to the police, the persons located in the units will be probed for suspected non-compliance with safety measures.
