A late-night robbery incident along Rangoon Road has led to the swift arrest of three young men, highlighting the effectiveness of Singapore’s law enforcement response in serious violent crime cases.
Police were alerted to the incident at approximately 11:25pm, after four individuals reported being robbed inside a residential unit. According to preliminary investigations, the suspects — aged between 22 and 23 — had arranged to meet the victims prior to the incident, suggesting a premeditated setup rather than a random break-in.
Upon entering the unit, the situation escalated quickly. One of the suspects allegedly produced a knife, while the group proceeded to assault the occupants and demand cash and valuables. Facing immediate threat and fearing for their safety, the victims complied.

The victims reportedly surrendered a total of S$16,300 (approximately equivalent to a significant personal savings amount), along with a gold chain and bracelet. Such incidents underscore the importance of personal safety awareness, especially when meeting unfamiliar individuals in private settings.
Three of the victims sustained minor injuries during the confrontation but did not require hospitalisation. The suspects fled shortly after obtaining the valuables, leaving the victims shaken.
