30 Y.O MAN ARRESTED FOR SELLING COUNTERFEIT PRODUCTS ON CAROUSELL

A 30-year-old man was arrested for his suspected involvement in selling counterfeit products on Carosuell.

The police were alerted after multiple reports were made between June to August 2020. The victims claimed that they were cheated after purchasing branded goods on Carousell. The goods received by the buyer appears to be fake and the seller went missing in action after the purchase.

After investigations, the police identified the suspect and arrested him. Investigations are ongoing.

According to the law, anyone convicted for cheating could face a jail term up to 10 years, fined or both.
