The Police were alerted after the neighbours started to smell something rotting
The body was found by the Police on the 7 May 2020 at around 1.50 PM, the body of a 60-year-old woman was found at Block 704, Yishun Avenue 5.

The Police found the body and pronounced dead at the scene, the woman had died for around 5 days.
Woman in her thirties stayed with decomposing body for 5 days
The media reported that the daughter who is in her 30s was intellectually disabled, she had been staying at home with the body and she does not know how to report to the Police.
She was also afraid to leave the house, According to Lianhe Wanbao, the neighbour told the reporter that the daughter probably did not know that her mother had passed away.
The Police has classified the incident as an unnatural death case.
