A fire occurred early in the morning at SCDF was alerted to a fire at No. 48 Tuas Crescent Unifine Star Petrochemical at around 6 am.
SCDF is still on scene conducting firefighting operations.
The location is a facility that handles industrial waste management including recycled oil and solvents. Due to the nature of the products in the area the fire rages.
SCDF deployed a total of 32 emergency vehicles and about 80 firefighters to the incident. SCDF firefighters are working hard to stop the fire the blaze with eight jets and two Unmanned Firefighting Machines.
An Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (UAV) is being deployed to conduct aerial monitoring of the incident. The fire has been confined to within the premises. As of this post, there are no reported injuries.
In view of the ongoing fire mitigation operations, members of the public are advised to stay away from the area.
