32-year-old Chen Yiyuan, a director from Beacon International Management Group, offered money to a 17-year-old boy for obscene activities, but the boy told him that he was not gay and such activities were not appealing to him.
Chen continued to pester the boy and eventually managed to convince him to go to his home on 12 March 2022, where Chen performed oral intercourse on the boy before giving him $200, according to The Straits Times.
He pleaded guilty on Tuesday (16 May) to one count of having commercial intercourse with an underaged person below 18 years old, admitting to being aware that the boy was born in 2005.
He was then sentenced to 6 weeks imprisonment for his offences.
What happened?
The man first met the boy in 2018 during a Chinese New Year event, and subsequently reached out to him via Whatsapp, before exchanging their Instagram contacts, where they would occasionally comment on each other’s social media posts.
They also went fishing together at a park in 2022, and the man said that after that, he felt “emotionally attracted to the victim” because the boy gave off a “chill vibe” which made Chen feel comfortable and peaceful when he was with him.
Chen then asked the boy out for another outing a few days later, and after the two meetings, Chen had “good feelings” about the boy, and contacted the boy on Telegram on 8 March 2022 during the early hours.
He asked the boy if he was open to “experimenting” with him and offered him money for the explicit encounter, and they messaged each other from 12.10am to 12.45am, where the boy told him that he was not gay.
Chen then told the boy that he was also straight but was curious, and asked him what were his limits when it came to such things.
Chen then tried to reassure the boy when the latter hesitated, telling the victim that he will pleasure him a bit and that he doesn’t want the boy to touch him so that he will not go “overboard”.
He then told the boy that he will pay him for the act, and the “10 minutes or so can already”.
Chen then continued to pester the boy for an answer over the next few days and on 12 March 2022, at about 2am, the boy finally agreed to meet up with Chen, who then drove over to pick the boy up before driving back to Chen’s home in Yishun at about 3.40am.
Chen then performed oral on the boy before paying him $200.
The boy then reported the incident to the police the next day, telling the police that the incident made him feel filthy.
