In a harrowing incident along Chander Road in the Little India area, a 33-year-old man was arrested for allegedly attempting to rob an elderly man using a boning hook, according to Channel NewsAsia.
A boning hook, also known as a boning knife or butcher hook, is a specialized tool commonly used in the butchery and meat processing industry.
It serves the purpose of separating meat from bones, making the process of deboning and trimming more efficient and precise. The boning hook typically features a sharp, pointed blade and a curved or hooked shape.
The brazen attempt, unfolding around 4 am on Sunday, saw the elderly victim resisting the assailant’s demands, leading to a struggle that ultimately thwarted the robbery.
