34 Y.O MAN ARRESTED FOR ROBBING 75 Y.O ELDERLY MAN AT OWEN RD

According to a recent Police media release, a 34-year-old man was arrested for allegedly robbing a 75-year-old elderly man and even causing hurt to the victim.

The Police were alerted of the crime on the 25th September 2020, 2.25 PM. The 75-year-old victim was assualted and robbed along Owen Road. Jewellery & mobile phone was taken from him.

The Police were able to identify the identity of the man by reviewing Police CCTV, Police officers from Tanglin Police Division arrested the 34-year-old along Hougang Avenue 1 a day after the crime was reported.

According to Singapore’s legal system, the man will be facing a minimum of 5 years jail and up to 20 years along with 12 strokes of the rotan.
