The patient is a 30-year-old male Indian national living in Singapore, who had just returned from Germany.

He started having symptoms on 30 June and had rashes in his groin area, before getting a fever on 7 July and seeking medical treatment.

The man was later sent to the National Centre for Infectious Diseases (NCID) before testing positive on 8 July.

He is currently in stable condition while being warded there, and MOH said that they are conducting contact tracing.

He is also not linked to the monkeypox cases that were announced earlier for the other cases.

At the time of writing, Singapore only has one local case of monkeypox, with the other three being imported; all four of the cases are not linked to each other.
