According to the Ministry of Education (MOE) , 4 students and 1 teacher were among 157 new COVID-19 cases reported as of yesterday (07 Jul).
These 5 individuals are from:
- Bedok View Secondary School
- East Spring Primary School
- Jurong West Primary School
- Jurong West Secondary School
- Assumption Pathway School
The 4 students are linked to household infections after they were placed on Home Quarantine Order (HQO) after being identified as close contact to previously confirmed cases.
Investigations are ongoing for the teacher who was infected.
A total of 60 Students and 10 teachers from the 5 schools were issued with a 14 days Leave of Absence (LOA) after being in contact with the confirmed cases.
The Ministry of Education assured parents and student that precaution measures are in place to prevent the transmission of the disease. They urged students, parents and teachers to stay home if any of their household members are feeling unwell.
