SCDF received a call for assistance to a road traffic collision at Benoi Road at around 12.20 p.m. yesterday (11 Oct). Four vehicles were involved in the collision, including a trailer truck and a lorry.

Man trapped in car
A person was discovered stuck in the driver’s seat of a vehicle that had collided with a traffic light pole. Because of the car’s dangerous location, SCDF firemen had to stabilize it first in order to keep it from moving during the rescue. This is critical to avoid aggravating the trapped driver’s situation.
The trapped man was rescued by firemen using hydraulic rescue equipment.
The man was taken to National University Hospital with two other passengers from the same automobile.
