40% OF WORKERS IN S’PORE WON’T TAKE JOB THAT DOESN’T LET THEM WORK FROM HOME

According to a survey by recruitment agency Randstad, about 2 in 5 workers in Singapore would rather not take a job if they are not able to work from home.

The survey was conducted with about 1,000 employed respondents who are working in Singapore, between the ages of 18 and 67.

77% of the survey respondents say that they value remote working, with about 42% saying that they wouldn’t accept a job that doesn’t let them work from home.

80% of the respondents said that flexible working hours were important to them, and 50% of them said that their jobs allowed flexible working hours.

About 52% of the respondents said that their employers allow remote working.

About 40% of the respondents said that they would rather be jobless than be unhappy in their job, with about 50% of the respondents saying that if they can’t enjoy life, they would quit their job.
