According to a media release, a 41-year-old man was arrested for his suspected involvement in a robbery.

The incident happened on 16 Jun 2020 around 7.10 AM at Teck Whye Lane. The man attempted to rob an 18-year-old woman at an area near Teck Whye Lane. The man threatened to slap the victim if she does not comply and surrender her belongings.
The police were alerted and with the help of CCTV, the police managed to identify the man and arrested him at Keat Hong Close on the 24 Jun 2020.
The man will be charged in court with robbery on today (Jun 26). If convicted, the accuse could face a jail term of up to 14 years with 12 strokes of the cane.
