A 41-year-old woman was discovered dead at the foot of a residential block in Sengkang, prompting police investigations at the scene.
Authorities said they were alerted to the incident around noon on March 6 after receiving reports of a fall from height at Block 289A Compassvale Crescent. When officers arrived, the woman was found lying motionless at the ground level of the building.
Paramedics who responded to the scene later pronounced her dead.
Preliminary findings by the police indicate that no foul play is suspected, although investigations are still ongoing.
Police And Emergency Services Respond To Scene
According to the Singapore Police Force, officers received the call for assistance at about 12pm. The case was reported as a suspected fall from height at the Housing and Development Board block.
Upon arrival, emergency responders assessed the situation and confirmed that the woman had already succumbed to her injuries.
Personnel from the Singapore Civil Defence Force were also deployed to the scene. A paramedic pronounced the woman dead at the location after assessing her condition.
Police cordoned off the area at the void deck while officers carried out their preliminary investigations.

Footage circulating on social media showed the aftermath of the incident at the residential block. In the video, a police cordon could be seen set up at the void deck area.
A blue privacy tent was also placed on the ground near the cordoned-off section, a standard procedure used by authorities when handling such cases in public areas.
Emergency vehicles, including ambulances and a police car, were spotted parked along the nearby service road next to the block.
The presence of emergency responders and the temporary closure of the area drew attention from residents living in the neighbourhood.

While police have indicated that foul play is not suspected, investigations into the circumstances surrounding the woman’s death are ongoing.
