43 men aged between 49 and 81 were arrested for suspected involvement in illegal horse betting activities in a multi-lcoation operatioin islandwide.

A total of $18,000 were also seized.
The operation reportedly took place between Sept 12 and 19, and included areas in Geylannd Bahru, Jalan Kukoh, Bendemeer, Telok Blangah Crescent, King George’s Avenue and Smith Street.
For betting with a bookmaker, you could be jailed up to 6 months, fined up to $5,000, or both.
For acting as a bookmaker, you could be jailed up to 5 years and fined between $20,000 and $200,000.
