5 MORE MEN ARRESTED FOR ALLEGED CONNECTION TO COMMONWEALTH STABBING

The Singapore Police Force said that they have arrested another 5 men between the ages of 22 to 40 for their alleged involvement in the stabbing of another man at Block 413 Commonwealth Avenue West.

The incident happened on 14 January at about 10.30am.

One of the men arrested is a 36-year-old man who had allegedly paid to have the victim attacked because of a business dispute.

The other 4 men are believed to have been intermediaries in the stabbing, with two other men previously arrested for their alleged involvement in the case.

The police previously said that according to preliminary investigations, they believe the attack to be premeditated.

The victim was walking towards a multi-storey carpark at the time when he was then allegedly attacked by two men who approached him, with one of them allegedly attacking him from behind.

The assailants then fled the scene after the attack.

The victim sustained knife wounds to his left arm as well as his back and was conveyed to the hospital conscious.
