According to the police media release, five teenagers were arrested for their suspected involvement in stealing parcels from letterboxes in Choa Chu Kang St 53 and Choa Chu Kang North 5.
The five teenagers were detained on the 11 Sep 2020 by police officers who were patrolling the vicinity of Choa Chu Kang at 3 am. The five were stopped after been seen behaving suspiciously at the void deck of Block 707 Choa Chua Kang Street 53.
Several parcels that do not belong to them were found in their possession while being screened. It was believed that the parcels were the stolen goods from the damaged letterboxes reported by the Singpost earlier.
The 5 teenagers were then arrested for theft with common intention. The police investigations are currently ongoing.
