According to the Police media release, a 50-year-old man is under investigation for allegedly making a false report.
He claimed that he was attacked and was robbed of more than $230,000 in cash.
The Police said yesterday (May 1) that they received a report from the man at about 8:30 am on Friday (April 29). According to the man, as he walked to his car he was attacked by three unidentified men with a baseball bat and robbed him of $230,000 in cash from him.
CCTV reveals the truth
Investigations revealed that there were discrepancies between the man’s account and the CCTV footage. He was accused of providing false information and he was not a victim of the case.

If it is proven that the man gave false information to public servants, he could be jailed for up to two years or fined, or both.
